Last week, 11 SPIP students from Year 8 to Year 10 traveled to Beijing to take part in the International Chemistry Quiz (ICQ) Asia Camp, an event organised by ASEEDER. They were invited based on their brilliant performances in the ICQ competition in August 2024. For four days, they explored various topics and developed skills in chemistry with seasoned instructors from the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI). Through application-based learning, they collaborated with students from different parts of the world and completed the majority of their learning in chemical laboratories. Students were introduced to topics that they would normally encounter one or two years later at SPIP. What an outstanding opportunity to build upon their already strong foundation in chemistry!
