Breaking Barriers: Bas – Boonyawas Tangprasert and Team Mutematter Win Hackable Competition with Innovative Sign Language Translation Device
We are thrilled to announce that our SPIP students Bas – Boonyawas Tangprasert and his Team Mutematter have won first place in the recent Hackable Competition focused on assisting disabled individuals! Their innovative project, Handy, is a glove-like device designed to translate Thai sign language into spoken languages, including English, Thai, and Chinese.
With over 500 teams participating, Mutematter stood out for their dedication and creativity, showcasing how technology can bridge communication gaps for the hearing impaired.
“All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our advisor Ms Lene. Her dedication to the project, guiding our way to being second to none” Bas said.
