“To my peers, my friends, mates, my teachers, I thank you with all my heart. It is indeed an honor to accept such a position as that has been bestowed upon me. There is no doubt that there are significant predicaments in SPIP of which we must address. There is no doubt that there are valleys that we must cross. It may not be easy. But, overcome, we shall, and even though there will always be obstacles of which we must surmount. We will succeed.
My fellow SPIP students, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. Today, let us ask ourselves, when our future SPIP generations arrive, what development will they see? What progress will we have made? This is our chance not only to answer that call but to act as well. This is our moment. What we have accomplished gives us strength, the audacity to hope, for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.
Thank you.”
