Recently our year 8 students visited the Bangkok Planetarium at the Science Centre for Education in Ekkamai. At the planetarium the students watched an amazing night sky and celestial show displayed on the famous dome hall ceiling which showcased a narrated journey through our solar system and visible constellations, bringing the night sky to life and inspiring a sense of admiration for the cosmos. The students then toured the rest planetarium learning about time, space, and mind-bending oddities such as wormholes! The students also enjoyed a hands-on experience in the science activity area where they got to use their science knowledge and dexterity to manipulate forces, sound, energy and Newtonian physics. Finally they got together for snacks and discussion of the day’s activities in the outside courtyard. A big thanks again to all year 8 students for participating, behaving well and learning earnestly about our universe.
