The Satit Prasarnmit International Programme student body demonstrated their generosity and charitable nature earlier this year with an incredible effort to raise funds for the less fortunate by sponsoring a number of teachers who took the arduous task of cycling from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. The fundraiser generated nearly THB 140,000; a whopping amount which was given to an incredible foundation known for providing aid and making a massive difference to many underprivileged communities throughout Bangkok – the Bangkok Community Help Foundation.
This collective effort demonstrates the compassion, generosity and social responsibility present within the students of SPIP community. The founders of Bangkok Community Help Foundation (BCHF), Greg Lange and Friso Poldervaart, offered heartfelt appreciation and were so kind as to let students offer even more aid to the Bangkok community. As such, a large group of lucky students; the tutor group who raised the most money, 9WCO, along with the ten most charitable students; undertook the privilege of helping BCHF prepare an incredible 500 meals, help distribute these meals to the less fortunate members of our Bangkok community and discover how much of a difference their efforts made to those in need and the important responsibility all members of society have to aid those in need.
We are thankful to have such incredible students who demonstrate such positive societal values and act to represent the SPIP community and its spirit for collaboration, equality and to propagate positive change.
