Club Description

Students will NOT be allowed to be on their electronic devices (including ipads and phones) and will be fully engaged in learning and playing science board games weekly. Students will be asked to leave their bags and belongings in their lockers before coming into the club room.

The Science Board Game Club is a club about learning and mastering strategic games with science themes.

Students will learn to think critically to strategize to win and earn house points. Students will practice their communication skills and reading skills. Some games will require collaboration. A variety of games will be provided and will further reinforce concepts learned in KS3/KS4 science courses.

Additionally once students become more familiar with different board game types, there will be a design your own science revision board game assignment near the end of the term, where students are expected to work in small groups to develop their own revision board game. This board game will be presented and then played towards the final weeks of the club in each term.

Please join if you are able to put away your electronic distractions and are interested in practicing science concepts in a fun and creative way.
