Hello! Currently I teach KS3 science, iGCSE Chemistry and A-level chemistry here at SPIP.

I was born in the United States and grew up in the American South. I have a B.Sc in Chemistry and worked as a professional chemist for roughly 5 years after graduating. I have a strong passion for chemistry and practical work. I do my best to bring my industry experience into the classroom and always try to get my students to see how chemistry is involved in our everyday lives.

My philosophy in the classroom is simple, I strive to help all my students be successful in learning regardless of their background or skills. Everyone is capable of learning and growing in my classroom. It is not about being the best, but it is understanding that every student has their own starting point and their own unique path towards success. Success is growth in my eyes. My teaching will always reflect on this core idea. I put forth all my effort to help my students grow as individuals well beyond my classroom.

I was born in Romania and I discovered my attraction for Physics during my lower secondary years in my hometown Focsani. I attended the upper secondary school in Constanta, winning many Physics competitions and graduating with perfect score in Physics at the National Baccalaureate. I graduated from the Department of Theoretical Physics of the University of Bucharest with a Bachelor's Degree and I have obtained my Master's Degree in Science from the Department of Physics of Tohoku University, Japan, where I did research on superconducting materials using photoelectron spectroscopy.

There is a lot to discover in science, a lot to be done to improve our understanding of what we already know, and I inspire my students to become curious about the scientific issues that we face. I like to share my knowledge and understanding with the students, and I believe that discipline and focus on studies at the secondary level can lead to great academic achievements, to a successful career, and a happy life.

I have been a part of the SPIP community since 2021, marking my seventh year of teaching in Thailand. Originally from India, I graduated in Botany (Honors) from the University of Delhi and went on to earn a Master of Science in Microbiology at Amity University, undertaking several research projects as part of my studies.

Before relocating to Thailand, I served for four years as a Senior Researcher in the Medical
Microbiology Department at a medical college in India. During this time, I led projects on microbial infections in humans, gained extensive research experience, and published two
papers in international journals. I also delivered training sessions, seminars, and lectures for
undergraduate medical students—an experience that ignited my passion for teaching. To further strengthen my educational background, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Education degree and a TEFL certification, with a special focus on teaching young learners.

Since joining SPIP, I have been teaching A-level Biology to KS5 students and Science to KS3
students. My goal as an educator is to inspire curiosity, encourage growth, and support students in achieving their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.

I joined SPIP in 2013 and have been part of this vibrant community ever since. Originally from India, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology and Chemistry, a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications. In addition, I have an Advanced Diploma in Software Applications, completed Cambridge Training for A-level ICT, and became a Certified Cambridge Assessment Specialist in 2023.

With over 13 years of experience in international education (UK and Singapore curricula), I have taught both Chemistry and ICT in Thailand while also immersing myself in its rich and diverse culture. I began my journey at SPIP as a Chemistry teacher, later contributed to the Computer Department, and currently teach IGCSE Chemistry to Year 10 and Year 11 students.

Teaching has always been my true passion. I believe in supporting each child’s academic and social growth, and I embrace the daily challenge of nurturing learners in a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.

I look forward to contributing many more years to this wonderful community and to continuing my journey of growth—both as an educator and lifelong learner.

“My name is Christopher Terry and I was born and raised in the UK. I am originally from Nottingham but spent most of my life living near or in London. I graduated from the University of Nottingham with an MSc in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry and worked in the engineering industry before travelling and volunteering in teaching projects in India, Nepal and Italy before becoming formally qualified as a teacher at the University of Derby and teaching in Thailand.

My teaching philosophy prioritises creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can enjoy a transformative journey that empowers them as critical thinkers and lifelong learners. As an educator, I serve as a mentor, encouraging curiosity beyond the classroom, the holistic development of new skills and embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth. My ultimate goal is to encourage enjoyment in education and ignite a lifelong passion for learning in my students.

At SPIP, I belong to the science department, where I act as a KS4 and KS5 biology teacher as well as a KS3 science teacher. Pastorally, I am also the proud Head of Yaksha, who has had the pleasure of becoming the 2024 House Champions thanks to our dedicated and hardworking Yaksha students (we will get it this year again)! I have also acted in additional roles - such as the SPIP Innovation Coordinator, Saturday Learning Support Manager & Bridging Course Programme Manager where I have had the pleasure of engaging with incoming Year 6 and 7 students with an array of enjoyable English, Maths & Science lessons and fun activities. I am also the U13 Basketball First Team Coach, where I lead an amazing team of U13 boys to become proud 2026 U13 GBAC Basketball Champions and Basketball All-Star Champions!

Hi, I’m Aidan Williams, and I teach KS3 Science, IGCSE Physics, and AS Physics. I hold a degree in Integrated Science and Technology and began my career in the renewable energy sector before discovering my passion for education. Prior to joining the team in SPIP, my teaching journey took me to international schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Prague, Czech Republic.

Coming from a family of international educators, I grew up traveling the world from the age of six, an experience that deeply shaped my global perspective and appreciation for diverse cultures. In the classroom, I strive to bring this global-minded approach into my lessons, encouraging students to think critically, remain curious, and approach scientific concepts with creativity.

I am a Physics teacher with a background in science, engineering, and education. I have been teaching since 2019, with professional experience in South Africa, China, and Thailand, working with students across a range of age groups and academic abilities.

My teaching philosophy is centered on making challenging concepts accessible through clear explanations, practical examples, and active student participation. I believe students learn best when they feel confident asking questions and are encouraged to think critically and connect what they learn in Physics to the world around them. I particularly enjoy finding meaningful ways to relate scientific concepts to everyday life.

At SPIP, I aim to create a supportive and engaging classroom where students are challenged to achieve their potential, develop independence, and build the confidence to approach new problems with curiosity and resilience.

I am a passionate Science and Biology teacher with around 10 years teaching experience. I currently teach Key stage 3 Science and GCSE Biology, and my academic background includes a BSc in Life Sciences, a PGCE a Master’s degree in Innovative Education, and I am pursuing a Doctorate in Education.

I have had the opportunity to work across curriculums with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. My medical laboratory background allows me to contribute real life science into classrooms and bring about appreciation for Science and Biology beyond the book.

A classroom should be a place where learners feel curious, supported and confident enough to ask questions, make mistakes and discover their full potential. I love finding creative ways to make my subjects feel accessible and relevant to learners. I try to bring patience, humor, empathy and encouragement into my classroom every day, while still challenging my students to grow, think independently and become the best versions of themselves.

Julia Lyakhovich is an international science educator whose background spans science, medical research, and education. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education from McGill University, with a major in Chemistry, as well as a Master of Science in Experimental Surgery. She also completed a semester of medical school at McGill before choosing to dedicate her career to teaching.

Julia has taught in Canada, Mexico, Singapore, and Thailand, across KS3, MYP, IGCSE, and IBDP curricula. Her scientific and research background shapes an approach to teaching that values curiosity, inquiry, experiential learning, and real-world application. She aims to create an inclusive and engaging classroom where students feel confident asking questions, taking intellectual risks, and making meaningful progress. She has also greatly enjoyed serving as a student tutor, supporting students’ academic, personal, and social development.

Julia believes education should develop not only knowledge, but also critical thinking, empathy, resilience, collaboration, and global citizenship.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys music production, wildlife photography, travelling, and hiking. She has also led and participated in volunteering experiences in Africa, Peru, Nepal, and Thailand, reinforcing her belief in learning through experience, service, and connection with the wider world.

My name is Shiela Mae J. Barcelon, and I was born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in General Science, and later pursued a Master's degree in Religious Education, specializing in Pastoral Care. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching science in both the Philippines and Thailand, and I began my career as a Lab Technician in 2012, a role I have found deeply rewarding.
I joined SPIP in 2024 with a clear objective: to provide strong support for the Science department. My goal is to help both teachers and students achieve their educational targets with excellence.
I am a firm believer that every student has the potential to be an agent of change in society. As educators, it is our responsibility to unlock that potential and guide them toward becoming better citizens. My personal motto is, "In everything you do, do it for the glory of God."

Hi, I’m Alex Warren and I’m from Nottingham, England. I have been teaching English at SPIP for 5 years since I moved to Bangkok after spending a year in Yangzhou, China. I gained both a CELTA and a PGCE (QTS) in secondary English education after graduating from the University of Essex with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics.

I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging classroom which meets the diverse needs of learners who are continually encouraged to express themselves creatively in English and to feel empowered by the wide variety of texts that have been written and enjoyed through the centuries.

I create dynamic lessons that cater to different proficiency levels, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and support. As well as using a variety of resources and interactive activities to engage students, I am dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

I am delighted to be joining the SPIP community this academic year, where I will be teaching English First Language & Literature across Ks3 & KS4.

I completed my undergraduate degree in English and Physical Education in Germany before moving to the UK, where I specialised in English as a Second Language as part of my postgraduate studies. I then completed my PGDE through the Teach First Training Programme in the Midlands, gaining valuable experience in teacher training and education. This experience has strengthened my belief in the importance of high-quality teaching, reflective practice and creating inclusive learning environments where every student is encouraged to achieve their potential. I have also previously taught at international schools in the UAE and Romania, which further developed my passion for international education and working with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

I am truly passionate about English and am eager to inspire students to develop a genuine love of learning. I particularly enjoy helping students grow not only academically, but also personally, building their confidence, curiosity and critical-thinking skills while preparing them for life beyond the classroom. My experience in teacher training with Teach First has also given me a strong interest in supporting effective teaching and learning.

Outside the classroom, you will often find me running, exploring new places or shooting hoops on the basketball court. I am also looking forward to discovering Thailand and making the most of everything the country has to offer, particularly its beautiful landscapes, culture and opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Hi, my name is Ayan, and I am excited to be joining SPIP as a teacher of English. I grew up in London and studied English at SOAS, where I developed a strong passion for literature and, in particular, the opportunity it provides to explore different voices, cultures and global perspectives. I believe that every student should feel that their voice is valued in the classroom, and I aim to create an inclusive environment where learners feel confident sharing their ideas, challenging perspectives and developing their analytical skills. Having taught in London for three years, I am excited to continue developing my teaching practice in a new and diverse global context. I hope to inspire students to engage deeply with literature, while supporting them to become thoughtful, critical and confident readers.

A key part of my pedagogical practice is the ability to adapt my teaching to the learners in front of me. I believe that English is best explored through a range of approaches and formats, rather than relying solely on traditional methods of teaching from a textbook. For example, discovering a poem through inference, questioning and carefully considered guesses can often lead to a much deeper engagement with a text than simply being told what it means. While I am a strong advocate for developing writing skills and giving students regular opportunities to practice and refine their written work, I also believe that English should be experienced through discussion, interpretation, collaboration and creative writing. My aim is to give students different ways into a text, allowing them to make connections, take intellectual risks and develop their own responses to literature.

My name is David Wolf. I was born in Surrey in the UK and studied English Literature and Theatre Studies at the University of Leeds. I like travelling and my greatest trip was in 1999 when I spent a year travelling solo around the world. That is why I am living in Thailand here! I have lived in Thailand since 2001 and I live in Hua Hin with my wife and nine year old son. In my free time I like music, books, films, cycling and swimming in the sea.
I have been teaching English in Thailand since 2001, first of all for King’s College of English and then at the British Council and now I am teaching English as a Second Language, English Literature and Drama here at SPIP. I am an experienced teacher in English to adults and children of all ages and also have a lot of experience teaching IELTS to students and coaching them for this test.
My key strengths are subject knowledge and communication and I believe in creating a fun, inclusive and supportive learning space. I am very much enjoying being an English and Drama teacher here at SPIP.

My name is Dan Cracknell and I am from Huddersfield, England. I began my studies at the University of Manchester, where I completed a BA honours degree in Linguistics. After graduating in 2001, I began my teaching career in Ashikaga, Japan. Four years later, I returned to the UK where I gained my PGCE in Secondary English at Liverpool Hope University. After completing my CELTA at Leeds Met University, I decided to go overseas again spending time living and working in Latin America and Australia.

In 2011 I came to Thailand, a place I now call home. I enjoy spending weekends with my wife and young daughter in Hua Hin, and travelling to other countries in the region when I get the chance. It is a pleasure to now be part of the SPIP family, where I am teaching ESL and First Language English.

I am an American educator with more than fourteen years of teaching experience in Thailand and New York. I hold a Master of Education from St. John’s University in New York and a bachelor’s degree in History from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Before joining SPIP, I spent ten years teaching history in New York City and four years teaching in Thailand, and I am excited to return to a country that has played an important role in both my personal and professional life.

My teaching philosophy centers on curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful student engagement. I believe students learn best when they are encouraged to ask questions, examine different perspectives, evaluate evidence, and connect what they learn to the world around them. My name is Sirikan Prasomsin, and I am a Thai Language teacher and Examinations Officer at SPIP. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Teaching Thai and English) from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. I have also completed professional training in Teaching Thai as a Foreign Language, which has helped me better understand how to teach Thai to students from different language and cultural backgrounds.

During my university years, I joined voluntary teaching projects and tutoring, where I gained experience working with learners of different ages and backgrounds. These experiences shaped my belief that every student learns in their own way. I aim to create a friendly and supportive classroom where students feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and using Thai with confidence while developing their understanding of Thai language and culture.

Alongside teaching, I serve as the Examinations Officer at SPIP, supporting students and coordinating external examinations. Through both roles, I hope to help students become confident, curious, and independent learners.

My name is Thodsapon (George) Phonhiran. I hold a Bachelor of Education (First Class Honours) in Teaching Thai and English for Secondary Education from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. I am currently in my fourth year at SPIP, where I teach Key Stage 3 Thai Language and Culture and IGCSE First Language Thai.

In addition to teaching, I serve as a Student Council Supervisor and Student Services Coordinator. I am passionate about supporting students to explore their interests beyond the classroom, helping them reach their full potential and develop strong leadership skills. In my classroom, I aim to create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel encouraged to grow both academically and personally.

Hi! My name is Ratayaporn Bunchornrut.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University, majoring in Thai and French language teaching for secondary education.

After graduation, I worked as a volunteer teacher for one year at the Buddhist Thai Sunday School of Wat Nawamintararachutis in Massachusetts, USA. There, I taught Thai as a second language to Thai children living in the United States, helping them maintain a strong connection to their Thai heritage through language, and ensuring they understand and appreciate their cultural roots.

At SPIP, I teach Thai as a second language, where I am passionate about integrating traditional teaching methods with modern, interactive tools to ensure that each lesson is both informative and enjoyable. I strive to tailor my lessons to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student, creating a dynamic and engaging environment where learners feel confident and motivated to use Thai in real-life situations—from casual conversations to formal interactions.

I believe that language learning is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules, but about immersing oneself in the culture and context in which the language is spoken.

I was born and raised in China. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Beijing Language and Culture University, China, and a Master's degree in Education from Assumption University, Thailand.
I am a dedicated Chinese Language and Culture teacher with over ten years of experience, having taught Mandarin to IGCSE students at SPIP for over six years. Additionally, I have taught Mandarin to students of various ages, from primary to high school, across three international schools.
I believe that all students are unique, and I strive to provide a safe environment where they are encouraged to share their ideas and take on challenges. I work to ensure my classroom is a safe space for expressing feelings and allowing students to be themselves. I also involve students in using Chinese to communicate their thoughts spontaneously in real-life situations, helping them develop their language skills. As an educator, I want my students to value their ability to think creatively, and I encourage them to use innovative methods to demonstrate their knowledge.

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I bring both personal and professional passion to my role as a Korean language teacher. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Korean to Speakers of Other Languages from Ewha Womans University, one of South Korea’s most prestigious institutions. For over a decade, I have been teaching Korean, most recently teaching undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Arts in Korean program at Srinakharinwirot University.

I believe that learning new languages is essential to fostering global understanding and empathy. As interest in Korean language and culture continues to grow worldwide, I am excited to share this rich and dynamic heritage with my students.

My teaching philosophy centers on the idea that language learning extends beyond the classroom. I strive to create engaging and immersive experiences that connect students to Korean culture, literature, and real-life communication. My goal is to inspire students not only to master the language but also to appreciate the broader cultural context in which it is spoken.

Hi. My name is Makiko Kawase. I received a Bachelor degree in English Linguistics from Kitakyushu University. Soon after I graduated, I completed a 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course and obtained a certificate as a Japanese language teacher. I then started teaching in Hong Kong. Having taught there for three years, I decided to continue my studies in the UK, where I received a Master of Arts in Education: Language and Education from the University of Sheffield.

Before joining SPIP, I worked as a lecturer at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep for three years.

I believe that students’ motivation and psychological factors are key to language acquisition, especially in a limited environment where the classroom may be the only opportunity for students to use Japanese. Therefore, I always focus on creating a joyful, safe, and comfortable classroom environment where everyone can use and express themselves in Japanese throughout my lessons.

Moreover, IGCSE Japanese examinations will begin this year, and I am excited to support my students in their learning and help them develop all four language skills: reading, speaking, listening, and writing.

As a Thai-American, I have worked in the education field for my entire professional career. I hold a Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts. My goal, and area that I feel I can bring the most value to is in bridging the gap between western and eastern differences in mindset and philosophies regarding both education and socio-cultural dynamics. This plays an important role in how I teach my students and work with colleagues.

In my 10+ years in management, I believe it is important to hold my peers to a high standard and fully support them in achieving those standards. These expectations will translate to the classroom resulting in the success of our students. This comes from a perspective of working at SPIP since nigh the beginning, and seeing the standards improve year on year, hence the desire to maintain that trend. Leading by example is also something I feel strongly about.

Hi, I’m Shilpa Chauhan, a Computer Science teacher at SPIP, where I teach IGCSE, AS, and A Level students. I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Lovely Professional University in India in 2016.
As a Computer Science educator, I am committed to fostering an environment that stimulates critical thinking, nurtures problem-solving abilities, and inspires creativity. I regard technology as a transformative tool for education, capable of significantly enriching the learning experience when utilized with intentionality and strategic purpose. Additionally, I view coding as a fundamental skill that empowers students to turn their innovative ideas into reality, fostering logical thinking and creativity.
I believe computer science education can transform students' lives. My teaching philosophy is to create an engaging, inclusive, and empowering classroom that equips students with the skills they need to succeed in the digital age.

My name is Joe O’Sullivan. I teach Computing and Robotics, as well as introductory Financial literacy at SPIP. I am an Irish national. I am a graduate of University College Cork with a degree in Geography and Sociology. I am also the holder of a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Computing with Software from Munster Technological University.
My teaching approach is centered on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop critical thinking skills and are rewarded for same. I believe that learning is most effective when students are actively involved in the process and I use a variety of strategies, including project-based activities, real-world applications, and technology integration to make lessons meaningful and practical.
I am committed to helping each student reach their potential by tailoring my teaching methods to their individual needs and learning styles. In doing so, I endeavor to make my lessons accessible to all students.
My overall aim is to make a contribution to students' preparedness for Computer Science, Business, Economics and Enterprise subjects in the later key stages.

I am from the United Kingdom, and I was born and raised in Enfield, North London. I worked in financial services, mostly insurance, up until 2007 then I decided to change careers to teaching. Since then I have gained a BA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Diploma in Theology, PGCEi and Masters in Business Administration.

I have been teaching business related subjects for the past ten years, most of which have been in schools in Thailand. At SPIP, I will be teaching Enterprise, Business Studies and Financial Literacy. I am very excited to teach here, and I hope to help students discover a passion for innovation and creativity in their business subjects. Furthermore, I would like to help students develop life skills that will enable them to be successful in their future careers.

I am an Economics teacher with ten years of experience teaching students at both secondary and university levels in Australia. I completed my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees at the University of New South Wales and have taught Economics and business-related subjects across a range of programs and year levels.
What I enjoy most about teaching Economics is helping students see how the ideas we learn in the classroom connect to everyday life and the world around us. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their opinions and even getting things wrong along the way. I try to make my lessons practical, engaging and relevant, while encouraging students to think independently and consider different perspectives.
At SPIP, I hope to create a classroom where students feel supported and challenged at the same time. My goal is not only to help them achieve strong academic results, but also to build their confidence, curiosity and ability to think critically about the world.

Hi, I’m Makane Christain, a Computer Science and Robotics teacher at SPIP. With a foundation in Computer Network Engineering and a career developed in Computer Science education, I bring together technical expertise and a passion for teaching to create meaningful learning experiences for students. I earned my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Buea, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Teaching from the Asian College of Teachers, India, and a Master of Education in Teaching Technology from the European International University, France.

My teaching philosophy is centered on empowering students to become confident and responsible creators of technology rather than simply consumers of it. Through fun-filled and engaging learning experiences, including coding, robotics, problem-solving, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, I aim to develop students’ critical thinking, creativity, and computational thinking skills.

My goal is to inspire curiosity and help every student build the confidence, knowledge, and skills to use technology creatively and responsibly. Ultimately, I hope to prepare my students not only to succeed in Computer Science and Robotics but also to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

My name is Mark Seeley and I was born and raised in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It was at the University of Ottawa where I completed my undergraduate degree with a specialization in Political Science and a minor in Asian Studies. After deciding to pursue a career in education, I enrolled in postgraduate studies at the University of South Wales (UK). In 2019, I graduated with a Master’s in Education in the stream of Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
Teaching has been an extremely rewarding career and has allowed me to work abroad in Vietnam, China and now Thailand where I have been teaching for more than five years. As a teacher of Global Perspectives at SPIP, I get to share my passion with students as we explore important topics such as culture, conflict and peace, environmental issues, and sustainable development. I consider being an educator both an immense privilege and responsibility which I take very seriously. I am proud to be a teacher and now the Head of the Humanities department at SPIP and I look forward to being a member of the SPIP family for many years to come.

As a Thai-American, I have worked in the education field for my entire professional career. I hold a Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts. My goal, and area that I feel I can bring the most value to is in bridging the gap between western and eastern differences in mindset and philosophies regarding both education and socio-cultural dynamics. This plays an important role in how I teach my students and work with colleagues.

In my 10+ years in management, I believe it is important to hold my peers to a high standard and fully support them in achieving those standards. These expectations will translate to the classroom resulting in the success of our students. This comes from a perspective of working at SPIP since nigh the beginning, and seeing the standards improve year on year, hence the desire to maintain that trend. Leading by example is also something I feel strongly about.

I am originally from Oxfordshire, England, and have lived and worked in Thailand for over ten years, with the past six years dedicated to teaching at SPIP. I hold a BA with Honours in History and Social Sciences from Ruskin College, Oxford, and a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. I am proud to serve as Head of Key Stage 4.

My passion for history lies in its power to help us understand the present and shape the future. I believe the study of history equips students with critical-thinking skills and the insights needed to navigate today’s complex world. By exploring the events, ideas and movements that have shaped society, students develop a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the modern era.

I was born in Kempton Park, South Africa, and spent my childhood in the small town of Carolina, where I completed my primary and secondary education. After finishing school, I earned my Executive Assistant Diploma from the Trade Institution of South Africa and spent several years working as a financial manager in a financial institution.

After the birth of my children, I sought a part-time position and began working as a secretary at a school. It was during this time that my passion for education ignited, prompting me to pursue a teaching career. I obtained my Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree through UNISA while continuing to work at the school.

With almost thirty years of teaching experience, I initially focused on languages and History but eventually discovered my passion for Geography. Thirteen years ago, I became acquainted with the Cambridge curriculum in Thailand, where I taught IGCSE subjects as a private tutor for eleven years. Additionally, I spent four years rotating as an English teacher among three primary schools in Muak Lek and taught evening English lessons for adults.

For the past seven years, I have been part of SPIP, where I taught Geography across all year groups. Two years ago, I expanded my teaching portfolio to include Environmental Management and Travel and Tourism classes at the IGCSE level.

I believe it is my responsibility to prepare my students not only for their exams but for life as well. I love teaching, and my students are a vital part of my journey. My goal is to nurture their curiosity and awareness, helping them understand their responsibilities toward themselves, others, and our planet. I strive to recognize the unique abilities of each student, providing them with opportunities to express themselves and reach their full potential. My aim is to create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth, where every student feels valued and empowered to be themselves.

I am an American educator with more than fourteen years of teaching experience in Thailand and New York. I hold a Master of Education from St. John’s University in New York and a bachelor’s degree in History from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Before joining SPIP, I spent ten years teaching history in New York City and four years teaching in Thailand, and I am excited to return to a country that has played an important role in both my personal and professional life.

I believe students learn best when they are encouraged to ask questions, examine different perspectives, evaluate evidence, and connect what they learn to the world around them. I am an experienced international educator with 15 years of teaching experience, an undergraduate background in Business Management, and a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds and am well versed across a range of Humanities-based subjects, including Global Perspectives, Geography, Business, and Travel & Tourism. This breadth of experience allows me to make connections across disciplines and bring meaningful, real-world context into the classroom.

My name is Prisca, and I am an academic learning support teacher with a passion for helping students succeed. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, specializing in English, and have completed Master of Arts units in teaching Literature, both in the Philippines. Over the past four years at SPIP, I have focused on ensuring that students who need additional learning support receive the attention and resources they require to succeed. I mostly work with Key Stage 3 students helping them to cope with the heavier and more complicated academic responsibilities as they go along in this level.
My approach is rooted in promoting inclusivity and acceptance for all students.Building strong, constructive relationships with my students is at the heart of my work, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. I also take pride in providing ongoing feedback on their progress and achievements, working closely with teachers to support each student’s educational journey.

My name is Puriphat Pitakorn (Tan), and this is my first year at SPIP, where I serve as a Learning Support Teacher. I hold a Bachelor's Degree with First Class Honours in Clinical Psychology from Thammasat University, and I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Counseling and Guidance Psychology at Srinakharinwirot University to deepen my interest and expertise in educational psychology.

With a foundation in psychology, I believe every student holds potential, even though we grow like flowers in the same garden, never blooming at exactly the same pace. Some need extra support, some need closer care, and may bloom later. But in the end, every flower in SPIP garden will bloom beautifully, just as every student here will continue to grow stronger.

My name is Elyse and I am a proud bilingual Canadian, fluent in both English and French, with a strong educational background in social sciences. I completed my Honor Bachelor of Social Science with a double major in Psychology and Criminology in a bilingual academic setting at the University of Ottawa. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Bachelor of Education, graduating Cum Laude (honors) from the Comprehensive School Health cohort where I specialized in English as a Second Language learning. Since 2023, I have been the AS-A Level Psychology Teacher, PSHE Teacher and Head of the Social Science Department at SPIP.

My passion for sports has been a central part of my life from a young age. Through hard work and dedication I had the opportunity to represent my province in competitive gymnastics and softball, and I now channel this enthusiasm and knowledge into coaching. With over a decade of experience in sports conditioning teaching, I continue to share my love for sports through my work with athletes and my personal dedication to martial arts such as training Muay Thai in Thailand. I am currently in my third year as the U13 Girls’ Basketball Coach within the SPIP community, and I am thrilled to continue guiding and inspiring both new and returning athletes. I am also delighted to be joining the U15 Girls’ Volleyball coaching team.

In my role as Head of the Social Sciences Department, as well as an AS-A Level Psychology and PSHE teacher, my goal is to bring an energetic, dedicated, and professional presence to the school. I aim to motivate both my colleagues and students to exceed their own expectations while valuing their authenticity and individuality. As a teacher and leader, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can connect their learning to the real world and recognize the relevance and potential of their educational journey.

My name is Ms. Shirlene, and I have been part of SPIP since 2018. I have taught Psychology at GCSE and A Level, served as Head of Sixth Form (2022–2024), and have been Head of Pastoral since 2024. I hold a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Psychology, and MEd in International Education. Psychology remains my specialist subject, with students achieving the Top Score in Thailand for Edexcel Psychology GCSE in both 2024 and 2025.

Before teaching, I worked as a researcher at a psychiatric hospital and have contributed to over 20 academic publications on psychological health in international scientific journals. I hope to use this experience to inspire students to become curious young psychologists and researchers.

As Head of Pastoral, my goal is to make SPIP a place where every student feels protected and supported by every adult. My previous experience means little surprises me, so my door is always open to any student who needs someone to listen. Together with our exceptional Key Stage Leaders, Counsellors and Learning Support specialists, we strive to provide the best possible care for every child.

Outside school, I am Singaporean and a third-culture kid who grew up across Singapore, China, Thailand and the UK. There is always a crochet project on my hook, and I am an avid scuba diver.

Hello, I am Ms. Ben, a PSHE Teacher and School Counsellor at SPIP, with five years of experience supporting students with their wellbeing, personal development, and academic needs. I am passionate about helping young people build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to thrive both in and beyond school.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, majoring in Counselling Psychology and Guidance and English, from Chulalongkorn University. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology to further develop my knowledge and skills in supporting young people.

At SPIP, I am part of the Pastoral Team and teach PSHE, while also supporting students through counselling and Enrichment courses for Sixth Form students. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel heard, valued, and encouraged to grow.

I believe that every student is unique. I value differences and promote respect within our community. I also encourage students to learn from their mistakes, embrace challenges, and never be afraid to grow.

Entering my third year at SPIP, I am part of the Pastoral Team, teaching PSHE, leading Enrichment courses for Sixth Form students, and providing individual counseling support. Originally from Thailand, I completed my IGCSE at Ruthin School in Wales, UK, before earning a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science (Biomedical Sciences, minor in Psychology) from Mahidol University International College. I further specialized with a master’s degree in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology through a collaborative program with Ramathibodi Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, and Mahidol University.

My primary focus at SPIP is to create a safe, supportive environment where every student feels heard, valued, and encouraged to grow. Through teaching and counseling, I aim to equip students with essential life skills, emotional resilience, and critical thinking to help them navigate life’s challenges and opportunities. My name is Adisorn Saendee (Kong), and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. Here at SPIP, I serve as a PSHE and Service in Action Teacher, supporting students in developing the knowledge, skills, values, and confidence they need to thrive both within and beyond the classroom.

I believe that one size does not fit all. My approach to teaching is therefore student-centered, with a strong focus on understanding each learner's unique strengths, needs, and potential. My previous experience teaching English and working in Learning Support has further strengthened my belief in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.

Over the past four years in the teaching profession, I have learned that adaptability, empathy, and encouragement are essential to helping young people grow. My name is George Means, and I am the Head of Department for Visual and Performing Arts. I have been living and teaching in Thailand since 2018. Native to the state of Pennsylvania, I obtained my associate's degree in education from my hometown of Bucks County where I also began to study short fiction and scriptwriting. While doing so, I stumbled upon the art of improvisational comedy and started to explore the performance side of storytelling in search of self-development. Ultimately, I moved to Philadelphia - earning my bachelor's degree in journalism from Temple University - which provided me with opportunities to perform at local venues such as the Good Good Comedy Theater and Philadelphia Improv Theater (PHIT), as well as with groups like the West Philadelphia Improv Incubator.

I began teaching KS3 Drama at SPIP in 2020 and I am delighted to say we have now established IGCSE Drama for those looking to continue their studies. Personal growth is something I am very passionate about, and while theater may not become a career for many, it certainly offers a new perspective and creative challenges for our students.

I was born in Thailand but moved to the UK at a young age, where I pursued my education and began my professional career. I hold a BA (Hons) in Entertainment Design from the Northern School of Art and a PGCEi from the University of Nottingham.

After graduation, I worked as a freelance designer in the Film and Entertainment industry, specialising in Costume and Wardrobe. As a mixed media artist, I am passionate about exploring a diverse range of styles, techniques, and materials, and I continue to bring this creative perspective into my teaching and work with students.

Since 2015, I have been teaching in Thailand, initially at Triam Udom Suksa School in the Gifted Program. In 2021, I joined the SPIP team as an Art and Design teacher across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. I currently serve as Head of Sixth Form, supporting students academically, personally, and pastorally throughout their Sixth Form journey. My role includes supporting student wellbeing and mental health, university and further education applications, enrichment opportunities, and preparation for life beyond school.

I am passionate about helping young people recognise their strengths, develop confidence and independence, and discover their individual interests and potential. Whether through creative practice, academic exploration, or planning for their future, I aim to create an environment where students feel supported to take ownership of their development and develop the skills, resilience, and confidence they need to thrive beyond Sixth Form.

Hi! I am very excited to begin my career teaching music at Satit Prasarnmit International Program this year. I grew up playing violin in various youth orchestras around Atlanta, Georgia and earned my Bachelor’s in Violin Performance at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. During and after that time I’ve taught myself various other instruments such as viola, guitar, bass, drums, and music production, and I am currently earning my Master’s in Music Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I am very excited to get to know all of our wonderful students and have a fantastic year together!

I am from the Philippines, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, major in Social Science. With experience across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary levels, I am passionate about supporting students’ growth through meaningful and creative learning experiences.

This is my second year at Satit Prasarnmit International Program (SPIP) as a Visual & Performing Arts Learning Support, where I continue to develop my skills in Drama while supporting Music and Arts classes. This role allows me to combine my background in education with my passion for music, drama, and visual arts. I love to support and encourage the students to explore their talents and showcase it as a tool for their growth.

Outside of school, I serve in my church’s music ministry, leading worship through singing and participating in drama performances. I look forward to continuing to inspire and support students and teachers while contributing to engaging and meaningful arts experiences at SPIP.

I graduated from Silpakorn university in sport science where I was the captain of the university rugby team and also head of the rugby club. For my sport background, I have been playing football since I was in a primary school and increased my interest in basketball when I was in secondary school. For my work experiences, I worked in several fitness companies for more than 6 years. I learned many exercising sports and skills excluded what I have learned in the university. It was a time that I learned aerobic dance, step dance, RPM, body step and functional training. It was not only sport skills I have developed, but also skills to teach others. I know how people feel when they need to exercise , they are not given correct guidelines. I also improved my interpersonal skills which helped me a lot when I first became a teacher. Currently, I have been working here for more than 3 years and keep on developing myself to be one of the best teachers among my colleagues.
My goal of teaching PE here is not only to teach the students about sport skills, but also address the benefits of exercises. Once students learn the basic skills it helps them to be able to build higher level skills after graduating from school. I expect that the benefit they are gaining will lead them to have a better, healthier life and future.

I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in Health and Physical Education from Srinakharinwirot University. My passion for Physical Education extends beyond personal health; it drives me to teach students vital life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience. I believe in the power of Physical Education to shape character and foster a positive outlook on both winning and losing.

During secondary school, basketball was my primary focus. It not only brought me joy but also motivated me to engage in school activities and compete with other institutions. This involvement broadened my social circle and contributed to some of the happiest moments of my youth.

Upon entering university, I developed a deep interest in swimming. The sport captivated me with its challenge of competing against oneself and the need for relentless practice. Swimming became a valuable lesson in patience and perseverance.

As I began my career, I had the opportunity to work in various schools, which allowed me to hone my swimming skills further. One of my most memorable experiences was teaching a child to swim for the first time. The joy and fulfillment I felt in helping the child acquire essential water skills and the confidence to save their own life were profound. This moment solidified my motivation to ensure that children learn to swim and develop a love for physical activities.

My goal as a Physical Education teacher is to instill in students a love for exercise and a positive attitude toward physical fitness. I aim to equip them with the skills and mindset to lead healthy, active lives and to grow into adults who value both physical well-being and character development.

I was born in Lincolnshire, England and graduated from the University of Lincoln (UK) with First Class Honours in Physical Education and Sport. I joined SPIP in 2023 having previously taught PE in secondary schools in the United Kingdom.

This year I will continue in the role of Head of Key Stage for the 176 Year 8 & 9 students at SPIP. I am proud to be in a position where I can support pupils growth and help them achieve their personal goals. In the four years I have now taught at SPIP it has been highly rewarding to see the students mature and develop their personalities as they prepare themselves for professional life.

I hold a first-class honours Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. Although my academic background and work experience are in engineering, my strong interest in sport led me to explore a different career path. As a former student of this school, it is a privilege to return and contribute to the community that played such an important role in my own development.

I am a passionate Physical Education teacher with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status. Having grown up as an athlete, sport has always played an important role in my life and shaped my passion for helping young people discover the positive impact physical activity can have. Alongside my own sporting experience, I have developed my skills through coaching gymnastics and teaching across mainstream and SEN secondary settings.

I strongly believe in a whole-child approach to education, where students are supported to develop not only academically and physically, but also socially and emotionally. I see PE as a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, communication and self-belief, while helping students develop a lifelong enjoyment of being active.
