I grew up in New Delhi, India. I graduated from the university of MDU with a major of science and maths in 2012. Afterwards, I completed my masters in maths in 2014 and teaching diploma in maths and science in 2015.
I worked as an IGCSE and A level mathematics teacher in India for almost 3 years prior to moving to Thailand in 2018, where I worked in Crescent international school as an A level maths teacher for 4 years. Now, I feel privileged to be a part of a great institute at SPIP as a maths teacher and I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience.

My name is Tafail and I was born and raised in Birmingham, United Kingdom. I did my degree in Physics at Aston University and subsequently did a Masters inTelecommunication. I have been teaching high level mathematics for over 20 years and have experience teaching A-level maths and Higher GCSE maths in the UK. I was the lead A-level teacher at an Ofsted 'Outstanding' Sixth form college in the United Kingdom and have had my lesson observations regularly graded as 'Outstanding' by an Ofsted inspector. My contributions to my previous department helped secure the department a Grade 1 on their last Ofsted inspection. Getting such observation grades reinforces my passion t deliver high quality teaching in ensuring my students achieve the best grades possible. Over the years, I have followed changes to the maths curriculum closely and adapted my teaching style and resources to accommodate such changes and provide the best teaching experience that I could for my students. My commitment to teaching and the help that I have provided my students has allowed them to not only achieve, but on many occasions surpass their Target Minimum Grades. I am regularly approached by fellow colleagues who may need advice on how to teach particular mathematical topics and need help in refining their expositions. I have also supported students who have undertaken different exam boards in which they can face some challenging questions.

My name is Ardra Asok. I was born and raised in Kerala , a southern province in India. I did my bachelors in biomedical engineering in TKM institute of technology, Kerala. In 2020 I moved to Thailand for my further studies, I was fortunate to complete my coursework of Masters in biomedical engineering from the prestigious Mahidol university of Thailand and this experience opened doors to engaging biomedical and medical robotics research projects. During my master’s I discovered a passion for teaching, which inspired me for the transition into the field of education. I’ve had the honor to guide students across subjects such as Mathematics, Research, Science and English. Notably, at Assumption College, I taught Mathematics and served as a research project advisor.My mission is to create a positive and supportive learning environment, equipping students with essential skillsets alongside mastering Mathematics. My name is Ana and I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. During university I have obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education and QTS in Mathematics from the University of Manchester. During my time in university I have been trained to teach Mathematics for GCSE and A-level. After graduating I have worked in a secondary school in Manchester where I have received regular CPD training and I have had the chance to teach KS3-KS4 mathematics.

I have always been extremely passionate about mathematics and I will try my best to make this subject as interesting and enjoyable as possible.

I was born in Romania and I discovered my attraction for Physics during my lower secondary years in my hometown Focsani. I attended the upper secondary school in Constanta, winning many Physics competitions and graduating with perfect score in Physics at the National Baccalaureate. I graduated from the Department of Theoretical Physics of the University of Bucharest with a Bachelor's Degree and I have obtained my Master Degree in Science from the Department of Physics of Tohoku University, Japan, where I did research on superconducting materials using photoelectron spectroscopy.

I am a certified teacher of physics for secondary school and I have been a teacher for fourteen years, teaching sciences and mathematics at national and international schools in Romania and Thailand. This year is my sixth academic year in SPIP, and I will be teaching Science to Year 9 students and iA-Level Physics to Year 12 and Year 13 students.

There is a lot to discover in science, a lot to be done to improve our understanding of what we already know, and I inspire my students to become curious about the scientific issues that we face because I hope that some of them will become contributors to the scientific knowledge of humanity. I like to share my knowledge and understanding with the students and I believe that discipline and focus on studies at the secondary level can lead to great academic achievements, to a successful career, and a happy life.

Hello, I'm Sahiba Jaggi. Born and raised in India, I completed my undergraduate studies in Botany (Honors) at the University of Delhi in 2012, graduating as one of the top students. I went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from Amity University in 2014.
Before relocating to Thailand in 2019, I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at a medical college in India for four years. During my tenure, I led several research projects focused on microbial infections in humans and gained extensive experience. I also conducted numerous training sessions, seminars, and lectures for undergraduate medical students, which ignited my passion for teaching. With my TEFL certification and a focus on teaching young learners, I’ve combined my research background with a dedication to education.
Since joining SPIP in 2021, I have been teaching Biology to KS5 students and Science to KS3 students. My goal as an educator is to support students in reaching their full potential and to foster a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages growth and curiosity.

My name is Arti Duseja and I joined SPIP in 2013. I am from India, received a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology and Chemistry, Master’s Degree in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications as well. Apart from my degrees, I also have an Advanced Diploma in Software Applications and have successfully completed Cambridge Training for A-level ICT. I have always been inclined towards academics and am willing to study at any age. I have been in international education (UK and Singapore curriculum) for the past 13 years, teaching Chemistry and ICT in Thailand and learning about its rich and vibrant culture. I started as a Chemistry teacher in SPIP and later on moved to the Computer department and right now I am teaching Chemistry to IGCSE, ICT to IGCSE and IT to A level students.
I have a true passion for teaching; helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic and social —is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.

Hello! This will be my 8th year teaching and 3rd year here at SPIP. I teach KS3 science and iGCSE Chemistry here at SPIP. I will also be helping with coordinating the KS3 science curriculum among the KS3 science teachers.

I was born in the United States and grew up in the American South. I have a B.Sc in Chemistry and worked as a professional chemist for roughly 5 years after graduating. I have a strong passion for chemistry and even more so for teaching. I do my best to bring my industry experience into the classroom and always try to get my students to see how chemistry is involved in our everyday lives.

My philosophy in the classroom is very simple, I strive to help all my students be successful in learning regardless of their background or skills. Everyone is capable of learning and growing in my classroom. It is not about being the best, but it is understanding that every student has their own starting point and their own unique path towards success. Success is growth in my eyes. My teaching will always reflect on this core idea. I put forth all my effort to help my students grow as individuals well beyond my classroom.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham with an MSc in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry and worked in the Engineering industry before travelling and volunteering in teaching projects in India, Nepal and Italy.

Since then, I began my formal career in teaching in Thailand for 7 years, and have furthered my teaching qualifications at the University of Derby. My teaching philosophy prioritises creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can enjoy a transformative journey that empowers them as critical thinkers and lifelong learners. As an educator, I serve as a mentor, encouraging curiosity beyond the classroom, the holistic development of new skills and embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth. My ultimate goal is to encourage enjoyment in education and ignite a lifelong passion for learning in my students.

At SPIP, I belong to the science department, where I act as the Year 10 and 11 iGCSE biology teacher as well as a KS3 science teacher. Pastorally, I am also the proud Head of Yaksha who had the opportunity to guide and later win the House System competition last year; all thanks to the hardworking and dedicated members of Yaksha House. I have also acted in additional coordinator roles - such as the Saturday Learning Support Coordinator & Bridging Course Coordinator where I have had the pleasure of engaging with incoming Year 6 and 7 students with an array of enjoyable English, Maths & Science lessons and fun activities. I finally act as the SPIP Innovation Coordinator in order to further develop teaching practices and engagement for students.

Hi, I’m Aidan, and I’m excited to be a part of SPIP this school year as a KS3 math and science teacher. I hold a degree in Integrated Science and Technology and began my professional journey in the renewable energy sector before discovering my passion for teaching. My teaching career has taken me to international schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Prague, Czech Republic, and I’m thrilled to now be teaching in Thailand.
This past summer, I had the privilege of teaching science during the Bridging Course, which allowed me to connect with many of the incoming Year 7 and 8 students before the school year began.
Teaching runs in my blood—both of my parents are international school teachers. Growing up, I had the unique experience of traveling the world with them from the age of six, which has deeply shaped my global perspective and understanding of diverse cultures. Hi, I’m Alex Warren and I’m from Nottingham, England. I have been teaching English at SPIP for three years since I moved to Bangkok after spending a year in Yangzhou, China. I have gained both a CELTA and a PGCE (QTS) in secondary English education after graduating from the University of Essex with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics.

I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging classroom which meets the diverse needs of learners who are continually encouraged to express themselves creatively in English. I create dynamic lessons that cater to different proficiency levels, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and support. As well as using a variety of multimedia resources and interactive activities to engage students, I am dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

I was born and raised in South Wales, UK, where I attended and completed all of my academic achievements to date. This included attending Dyffryn Comprehensive School, before moving on to Neath Port Talbot College to study A-Level History, English and Political Studies, and then obtaining a B.A. History (Hons) degree from Aberystwyth University. I obtained a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language some years later in the UK, and taught ESL for several years in Taipei, Taiwan, before returning to the UK to develop my teaching career by gaining my PGCE with QTS in Secondary English.
I arrived at SPIP for the 2022-23 academic year, taking up the positions of Year 7 Humanities and PSHE teacher at the school. In my second year at SPIP, I moved over to the English department and also took up a role as Key Stage 3 Leader. This year, I will continue my role in the English department, but will move on to become Key Stage 4 Leader. Furthermore, I will be reprising my role as a coach of the Under-15 GBAC football team.
I see learning as a collaborative experience where students should feel safe to voice their opinions, challenge others, and respond well to challenges themselves. I believe in creating a classroom environment where students share ideas and learn from each other, building a strong sense of teamwork to achieve their goals together.

Hi, my name is Ceara. I teach First Language English and English Literature at SPIP. This year I am excited to be taking on a new role as Second of Department in English.

I was born in Canada and then moved to Ireland as a child. Being raised as a dual national fostered my love of travel from a young age and I am very excited to continue my teaching journey in Thailand.

I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with First Class Honours in English and History. As someone who has always valued and loved learning, I applied for the Teach First Leadership Development Programme (UK teaching programme) in my second year at university. While there are many routes into teaching, I chose this particular pathway as I wanted a challenge. Teach First is a hands-on approach – teaching full-time while simultaneously studying for the PGDE with University College London (UCL). Prior to joining SPIP, I taught in London for four years.

In the classroom I use a social constructivist approach which emphasises that learners are social beings who interact with others and society, thus affecting their cultural practices and ways of viewing the world. I believe it is essential for all students to be fully engaged and given the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon their ideas and the ideas of others. Therefore, I aim to create a collaborative and inclusive learning environment in all my lessons. I also strive to create a classroom environment in which students feel supported and confident especially as they engage with new and challenging literature texts. I am passionate about English literature and I hope to instill this passion and enjoyment for English in my students.

My name is David Wolf. I was born in Surrey in the UK and studied English Literature at the University of Leeds. I like travelling and my greatest trip was in 1999 when I spent a year travelling solo around the world. That is why I am living in Thailand here! I have lived in Thailand since 2001 and I live in Hua Hin with my wife and six year-old son. In my free time I like music, books, films, cycling and swimming in the sea.

My name is Sirikan Prasomsin. After studying at Kasetsart University Laboratory School for 12 years, I completed a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Teaching Thai and English language, from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. During my university life, I enjoyed teaching both Thai and English through voluntary teaching programs and tutoring various ages of students from kindergarten to high school.
Throughout my experience as a Thai-English teacher, I believe that every student has different ways of learning. I will try my best to provide them a safe space for communicating and exchanging their thoughts in Thai and the activities that make them meet their potential in Thai communication together with learning Thai culture as well.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have completed specialized training and received certification in Teaching Thai to Foreigners. My name is Thodsapon (George) Phonhiran. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Thai and English language teaching for secondary education from the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University. At SPIP, I serve as the Key Stage 3 Leader, where I support and take care of students' well-being, guiding them through a crucial stage of their academic journey.

I teach Thai language and culture and Thai IGCSE, with a focus on fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of the Thai language and its rich cultural heritage. Additionally, I teach Service in Action, which focuses on inspiring students to make small, positive changes and contribute meaningfully to the community and the world around them.

Hi! My name is Ratayaporn Bunchornrut. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University, majoring in Thai and French language teaching for secondary education. After graduation, I worked as a one-year volunteer teacher at the Buddhist Thai Sunday School of Wat Nawamintararachutis in Massachusetts, USA. I have been teaching Thai as a second language to Thai children living in the United States, helping Thai children in the USA maintain a strong connection to their Thai heritage through language, and ensuring they understand and appreciate their cultural roots.
I am looking forward to my first year at SPIP, teaching Thai as a second language. I am passionate about integrating traditional teaching methods with modern, interactive tools, ensuring that each lesson is both informative and enjoyable, and tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs and learning styles of individual students. I was born and raised in China. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Beijing Language and Culture University, China, and a Master's degree in Education from Assumption University, Thailand.
I am a dedicated Chinese Language and Culture teacher with over ten years of experience, having taught Mandarin to IGCSE students at SPIP for over six years. Additionally, I have taught Mandarin to students of various ages, from primary to high school, across three international schools.
I believe that all students are unique, and I strive to provide a safe environment where they are encouraged to share their ideas and take on challenges. I work to ensure my classroom is a safe space for expressing feelings and allowing students to be themselves. I also involve students in using Chinese to communicate their thoughts spontaneously in real-life situations, helping them develop their language skills. As an educator, I want my students to value their ability to think creatively, and I encourage them to use innovative methods to demonstrate their knowledge.

My name is Brandon Allen and I’m from Ohio in the United States. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Ohio University and a PGCEI from The University of Nottingham. Before teaching, I worked in the corporate world as a project manager for an environmentally friendly event studio in Los Angeles and as a business development manager for an energy company in Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Thailand in 2013, first teaching English before transitioning into Business Studies, the subject I’m most passionate about. I currently teach IGCSE, AS and A Level Business Studies. I aspire to create a student-centered learning environment in which students acquire understanding through an active approach that focuses on practical scenarios. And while I like to see students enjoying themselves in class, I also insist on hard work and focus on the task at hand.

My name is David and I have been a teacher here at SPIP for around four years. I originally come from London, in England, but have been fortunate enough to live and work in different parts of the UK and the rest of the world since then. I studied at the University of Manchester, where I gained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Masters in Management Sciences. Since then, I have spent many years working and living in different parts of the world, including different countries in Europe and South America, before settling in Thailand. Since living here I have worked in the publishing industry around Asia, as well as teaching. At SPIP, I teach Economics for IGCSE, AS and A-Level, as well as Financial Literacy to the Year 9 students. I really enjoy teaching at SPIP and being part of a great team of people who are passionate about education. Teaching economics is especially rewarding because it is essential for understanding the world that we live in, and helps to explain events in history, business and current affairs. For me the key to learning is personalisation and involvement, and I always try to make my subjects relevant to students, looking at Thailand and students’ own lives for examples, and encouraging active learning in all lessons.

My name is Ropafadzo R. Mumhure. I am a Zimbabwean national who is a part of the Business and Technology Department Before joining SPIP I taught IGCSE-AS/A Level Business Studies and IGCSE Economics. This year I have the pleasure of joining SPIP where I will be teaching IGCSE Business Studies and Enterprise. I embarked on my teaching career about four years ago when I moved to Thailand after completing my Master of Business Administration. I soon discovered my passion for teaching and decided to pursue a PGCE from the University of Nottingham.

Having had the privilege of residing and studying in diverse countries, I hold dear the period I spent as a student in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This chapter stands out predominantly due to the exceptional educators who enveloped me. I was truly lucky to be part of an institution that highly valued personalised learning approaches, and I was blessed with mentors who dedicated their time to assist me in addressing my learning requirements and limitations. The can-do attitude that was instilled in me during those years continues to be my driving force today.

Because I was always encouraged to try. I decided to teach myself Business Studies at ‘O’ Levels and sat for the exam in the same year. To my amusement, I passed with flying colours!

What I aim to bring to each classroom is the same mentality and attitude that was imbued in me many years ago. I aim to encourage students to be confident, take chances and to try their best in all their endeavours. Hi, I’m Shilpa Chauhan, a Computer Science teacher at SPIP, where I teach IGCSE, AS, and A Level students. I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Lovely Professional University in India in 2016.
As a Computer Science educator, I am committed to fostering an environment that stimulates critical thinking, nurtures problem-solving abilities, and inspires creativity. I regard technology as a transformative tool for education, capable of significantly enriching the learning experience when utilized with intentionality and strategic purpose. Additionally, I view coding as a fundamental skill that empowers students to turn their innovative ideas into reality, fostering logical thinking and creativity.
I believe computer science education can transform students' lives. My teaching philosophy is to create an engaging, inclusive, and empowering classroom that equips students with the skills they need to succeed in the digital age.

I have never taken the conventional routes in life, and my education reflects that, being as wide as my interests. After completing a Bachelor’s degree majoring in computer science and philosophy, I went on to do a Master’s degree in philosophy. Additionally, I have completed a Bachelor’s degree in education and I am certified as a teacher in Canada. Also, I possess the Cambridge certification to teach ICT.
After having two careers as a financial derivatives trader and as a college professor in Canada, I became an international teacher, travelling the world and teaching students across four different continents. Despite living and working in numerous places abroad, nothing comes even close to how much I love and appreciate Thailand and its people… and it is my great pleasure to be a part of SPIP and its team of educators.
My vision of education is humanistic – as teachers, we are not merely imparters or givers of knowledge. My name is Mark Seeley and I was born and raised in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It was at the University of Ottawa where I completed my undergraduate degree with a specialization in Political Science and a minor in Asian Studies. After deciding to pursue a career in education, I enrolled in postgraduate studies at the University of South Wales (UK). In 2019, I graduated with a Master’s in Education in the stream of Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
Teaching has been an extremely rewarding career and has allowed me to work abroad in Vietnam, China and now Thailand where I have been teaching for more than five years. As a teacher of Global Perspectives at SPIP, I get to share my passion with students as we explore important topics such as culture, conflict and peace, environmental issues, and sustainable development. I consider being an educator both an immense privilege and responsibility which I take very seriously. I am proud to be a teacher and now the Head of the Humanities department at SPIP and I look forward to being a member of the SPIP family for many years to come.

My name is David Benton. I am originally from Oxfordshire, England, and have had the privilege of living and working in Thailand for over eight years, with the past four years dedicated to teaching at SPIP. I hold a BA with Honors in History and Social Sciences from Ruskin College, Oxford, and I am currently halfway through my PGCE studies with Sunderland University.
My passion for history stems from a deep belief in its importance for understanding the present and shaping the future. I firmly believe that studying history equips students with the critical thinking skills and insights necessary to comprehend the complexities of our world today. By exploring the events, ideas, and movements that have shaped our society, students can develop a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities we face in the modern world.

I was born in Kempton Park, South Africa, and spent my childhood in the small town of Carolina, where I completed my primary and secondary education. After finishing school, I earned my Executive Assistant Diploma from the Trade Institution of South Africa and spent several years working as a financial manager in a financial institution.

After the birth of my children, I sought a part-time position and began working as a secretary at a school. It was during this time that my passion for education ignited, prompting me to pursue a teaching career. I obtained my Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree through UNISA while continuing to work at the school.

With almost thirty years of teaching experience, I initially focused on languages and History but eventually discovered my passion for Geography. Thirteen years ago, I became acquainted with the Cambridge curriculum in Thailand, where I taught IGCSE subjects as a private tutor for eleven years. Additionally, I spent four years rotating as an English teacher among three primary schools in Muak Lek and taught evening English lessons for adults.

For the past six years, I have been part of SPIP, where I taught Geography across all year groups. Two years ago, I expanded my teaching portfolio to include Environmental Management, and this year, I am excited to take on the Travel and Tourism classes at the IGCSE level.

I believe it is my responsibility to prepare my students not only for their exams but for life as well. I love teaching, and my students are a vital part of my journey. My goal is to nurture their curiosity and awareness, helping them understand their responsibilities toward themselves, others, and our planet. Hello! I am thrilled to be joining this vibrant community for my first year at SPIP, marking my 7th year of teaching. This year, I will be teaching Year 7 Geography and Global Perspectives, as well as Year 8 Geography and Services in Action. Additionally, I’m excited to take on the role of Year 9 tutor teacher.
I am originally from Scotland and grew up in central Scotland before heading further north for University and even further north for my first teaching position, where I taught for three years. My teaching journey then took me to Madrid, where I spent another three years teaching in a British International School. These diverse experiences have enriched my teaching practice and deepened my passion for Geography.
I hold a BSc in Environmental Science with Professional Education, and my love for teaching and Geography drives my commitment to engaging with students and exploring their creativity and perspectives of the world. I find immense joy in taking and organising field trips, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world contexts.
I try to travel as much as I can and integrate these experiences into my teaching to broaden students’ horizons. My name is Prisca, and I am an academic learning support teacher with a passion for helping students succeed. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, specializing in English, and have completed Master of Arts units in teaching Literature, both in the Philippines. Over the past four years at SPIP, I have focused on ensuring that students who need additional learning support receive the attention and resources they require to succeed. I mostly work with Key Stage 3 students helping them to cope with the heavier and more complicated academic responsibilities as they go along in this level.
My approach is rooted in promoting inclusivity and acceptance for all students.Building strong, constructive relationships with my students is at the heart of my work, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. I also take pride in providing ongoing feedback on their progress and achievements, working closely with teachers to support each student’s educational journey.

My name is Elyse and I am a proud bilingual Canadian, fluent in both English and French, with a strong educational background in social sciences. I completed my Honor Bachelor of Social Science with a double major in Psychology and Criminology in a bilingual academic setting at the University of Ottawa. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Bachelor of Education, graduating Cum Laude (honors) from the Comprehensive School Health cohort where I specialized in English as a Second Language learning. I am currently in my second year as the AS-A level Psychology teacher and Head of the Social Sciences Department at SPIP.
My passion for sports has been a central part of my life from a young age. Through hard work and dedication I had the opportunity to represent my province in competitive gymnastics and softball, and I now channel this enthusiasm and knowledge into coaching. With over a decade of experience in sports conditioning teaching, I continue to share my love for sports through my work with athletes and my personal dedication to martial arts such as training Muay Thai in Thailand. Currently, I am in my second year as the U13 girls basketball coach within the SPIP community, and I am thrilled to continue guiding and inspiring my new team.
In my role as Head of the Social Sciences Department, as well as an AS-A Level Psychology and PSHE teacher, my goal is to bring an energetic, dedicated, and professional presence to the school. I aim to motivate both my colleagues and students to exceed their own expectations while valuing their authenticity and individuality. As a teacher and leader, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can connect their learning to the real world and recognize the relevance and potential of their educational journey.

My name is Ms. Shirlene and I have been with SPIP since 2018. During my time here, I have taught Psychology GCSE and A levels, was the Head of Sixth Form and am currently the Head of SSW. My qualifications include a BSc in Psychology and two Master's degrees; one MSc Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London and one MEd in International Education.

Psychology is my specialty and the main subject I teach at SPIP. As a former researcher, I have published over 20 academic research articles around the topics of psychological health in international science journals. I conducted my research during my time working at the Institute of Mental Health psychiatric hospital in Singapore. My expertise is beneficial to my students as I guide them to be young psychologists and researchers ready for tertiary education; I am confident in supervising behavioural research projects.

Bellis et al. (2017) argued that having one trusted adult in a child’s life helps protect their physical and mental health from negative impacts of stress. Thus, my goal as Head of SSW is to develop a school where every student can feel protected by every adult in the SPIP community. This not only creates a safe space, but allows for the growth of SPIP students into successful young adults and life-long learners as they enter university both locally and abroad. There is also little that students can share that will shock me, having worked with psychiatric patients in the past, so my door is always open if students need someone to lean on.

On a more personal note, I am Singaporean, though I grew up as a third-culture kid in different countries including Singapore, China, Thailand and the UK. There is always an ongoing project on my crochet hook and I am also an avid scuba diver keen to grow a community of SPIP Divers and Marine Conservationists.

Born in Minnesota, USA, I moved to East London as a teenager. The culture shock of a new, diverse environment was a formative and deeply rewarding experience for me, which I credit my international perspective on life to. In London, I pursued my degree in psychology and neuroscience, and further followed my passions in the social sciences; promoting mental health awareness, social justice, and civic activism. In London, I also worked in experimental psychology research, before moving to Thailand and pursuing my Cambridge CELTA and a Master’s in International Education. Whilst here, I have taught across all age ranges and multiple subjects including English, science, social studies, and health.This is my third year teaching IGCSE & A-Level sociology.

My time at SPIP has been immensely rewarding and inspiring; the passion and empathy our students display towards each other and the world at large is truly remarkable. As an educator, my goal is to inspire the children under our care to become the kind, confident, and innovative leaders of tomorrow. One key initiative in this effort has been the development of our 'Model United Nations' (MUN) programme, a platform for passionate and socially-conscious students to engage in debates on pressing global issues. Through MUN, I've witnessed our students boost their confidence, English language skills, self-reliance, and leadership abilities firsthand - while also forming lasting friendships with like-minded peers from around the world!

I consider my duty of care as a teacher to be a profound privilege and I find meaningful fulfilment in being a part, however small, of our students' journey of self-discovery as they strive to become the best version of themselves.

I graduated with first-class honors from Chulalongkorn University, earning dual degrees in Counseling Psychology, Guidance, and English. Currently, I'm pursuing my master’s degree with a focus on counseling psychology.
My passion lies in being a dynamic and supportive teacher, committed to helping students excel both academically and personally. I believe each student is unique and deserves tailored guidance that fosters their learning and well-being. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment in PSHE Class where everyone feels valued and inspired to grow.

Hi! I’m Aim. I was born and raised in Thailand. I completed IGCSE at Ruthin School in Wales, UK. I earned a bachelor's degree from Mahidol University International College, majoring in Biological Science with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences, and minored in Psychology. Pursuing further specialization, I continued my studies with a master’s degree in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology from a collaborative program involving the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and the National Institute for Child and Family Development, Mahidol University.

For this new beginning, my objective in joining SPIP as a school counselor is to develop both personally and professionally while offering the support and guidance that students need. As a PSHE teacher, my goal is to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge they need to navigate life’s challenges and opportunities. I am passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to explore their emotions, make informed decisions, and develop critical thinking skills.

My name is George Means, and I am the Head of Department for Visual and Performing Arts. I have been living and teaching in Thailand since 2018. Native to the state of Pennsylvania, I obtained my associate's degree in education from my hometown of Bucks County where I also began to study short fiction and scriptwriting. While doing so, I stumbled upon the art of improvisational comedy and started to explore the performance side of storytelling in search of self-development. Ultimately, I moved to Philadelphia - earning my bachelor's degree in journalism from Temple University - which provided me with opportunities to perform at local venues such as the Good Good Comedy Theater and Philadelphia Improv Theater (PHIT), as well as with groups like the West Philadelphia Improv Incubator.

I began teaching KS3 Drama at SPIP in 2020 and I am delighted to say we have now established IGCSE Drama for those looking to continue their studies. Personal growth is something I am very passionate about, and while theater may not become a career for many, it certainly offers a new perspective and creative challenges for our students.

I was born in Thailand but moved to the UK at a young age, where I pursued my education and began my professional career. I hold a BA (Hons) in Entertainment Design from the Northern School of Art and a PGCEi from Nottingham University.

After graduation, I worked as a freelance designer in the Film and Entertainment industry, specializing in Costume and Wardrobe. As a mixed media artist, I am passionate about exploring a diverse range of styles and materials.

Since 2015, I have been teaching in Thailand, initially at Triam Udom Suksa School in the Gifted Program. In 2021, I joined the SPIP team as an art and design teacher across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. I am excited to take on the role of Head of Sixth Form in the upcoming academic year, where I will continue to support students in exploring, discovering, and developing their unique artistic styles and talents.

This is my first year at SPIP, teaching art and design to the KS3 and IGCSE students. I moved to Bangkok in 2022 and started a small business designing bespoke furniture using reclaimed Thai teak and natural materials. My background is in scenery design and fabrication, and I worked in New York City for almost a decade as a scenic artist, designer and fabricator of theatre, fashion runways, window displays, live events and custom furniture.

My undergraduate degree was in Fine Arts-Production, from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia; and I completed my Masters of Teaching from Curtin University in Western Australia. I've taught in various schools across Australia, and also in New York, ensuring students achieve their learning outcomes in a safe and creative environment. I aim to promote a stimulating atmosphere that encourages students to trust their ideas and reach their full potential.

My name is Madison Curtis, and I'm a music teacher from Canada. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Voice and a Bachelor of Music Education from Memorial University in Newfoundland. I've been actively involved in various community and professional choirs, opera productions, and ensembles both in Canada and Thailand. In addition to performing, I enjoy writing and recording electronic music, as well as creating with a variety of composition software. What I love most about music is the profound connections created through performance—whether with fellow performers or the audience. Music is also an incredible opportunity to explore cultures, communities, history, and so much more!
I enjoy the process of helping young musicians in discovering their unique styles and exploring self-expression through healthy, sustainable techniques. I believe that a well-equipped musician possesses the knowledge, tools, and techniques necessary to perform and express themselves across a wide range of styles. I am thrilled to be a part of the SPIP team and look forward to contributing to the music program.

I graduated from Silpakorn university in sport science where I was the captain of the university rugby team and also head of the rugby club. For my sport background, I have been playing football since I was in a primary school and increased my interest in basketball when I was in secondary school. For my work experiences, I worked in several fitness companies for more than 6 years. I learned many exercising sports and skills excluded what I have learned in the university. It was a time that I learned aerobic dance, step dance, RPM, body step and functional training. It was not only sport skills I have developed, but also skills to teach others. I know how people feel when they need to exercise , they are not given correct guidelines. I also improved my interpersonal skills which helped me a lot when I first became a teacher. Currently, I have been working here for more than 3 years and keep on developing myself to be one of the best teachers among my colleagues.
My goal of teaching PE here is not only to teach the students about sport skills, but also address the benefits of exercises. Once students learn the basic skills it helps them to be able to build higher level skills after graduating from school. I expect that the benefit they are gaining will lead them to have a better, healthier life and future.

I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in Health and Physical Education from Srinakharinwirot University. My passion for Physical Education extends beyond personal health; it drives me to teach students vital life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience. I believe in the power of Physical Education to shape character and foster a positive outlook on both winning and losing.

During secondary school, basketball was my primary focus. It not only brought me joy but also motivated me to engage in school activities and compete with other institutions. This involvement broadened my social circle and contributed to some of the happiest moments of my youth.

Upon entering university, I developed a deep interest in swimming. The sport captivated me with its challenge of competing against oneself and the need for relentless practice. Swimming became a valuable lesson in patience and perseverance.

As I began my career, I had the opportunity to work in various schools, which allowed me to hone my swimming skills further. One of my most memorable experiences was teaching a child to swim for the first time. The joy and fulfillment I felt in helping the child acquire essential water skills and the confidence to save their own life were profound. This moment solidified my motivation to ensure that children learn to swim and develop a love for physical activities.

My goal as a Physical Education teacher is to instill in students a love for exercise and a positive attitude toward physical fitness. I aim to equip them with the skills and mindset to lead healthy, active lives and to grow into adults who value both physical well-being and character development.

I was born in Lincolnshire, England and graduated from the University of Lincoln (UK) with First Class Honours in Physical Education and Sport. I have previously taught PE in secondary schools in the United Kingdom.

I have been a qualified FA Youth Football Referee since 2014, officiating in both men’s and women’s league and cup competitions. I enjoy participating in and leading teams across a range of sports including football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. Being physically active has greatly contributed to the development of my confidence, self-discipline and motivation. Within sport theory I am interested in areas including sports psychology, leadership, strength and conditioning and nutrition.

My teaching philosophy centers around providing equal prospects for all pupils, finding specific areas in which pupils can thrive and challenge themselves whether as a participant, coach, analyst or official. I am always seeking to engage and challenge pupils who desire to take career paths in sporting sectors and as teachers. I have desired to become an educator since I was in secondary school myself and I am excited to begin teaching internationally at SPIP in 2023.

My name is Fourth, Rungravee Jangjai. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Srinakharinwirot University. My affinity for swimming dates back to my early years, commencing during primary school. Transitioning to secondary school and university, I took on water polo and became a member of Thailand's national team.
